The ship participated in Exercise Ferocious Falcon, a multinational disaster management exercise, held at Doha, Qatar in November 2012. While transiting to the exercise, the frigate visited the port of Kochi, India. In the course of the voyage back to Australia in late August and early September, Vampire made port visits in Indonesia
